Biography

Michelle Fritze

Michelle Fritze is an engaging story teller who speaks God’s word from the heart, integrating visual aids, drama, humor, and everyday encounters into her messages. She prays that her transparency and life stories will show an alive and active God who is relevant and involved in the lives of people today.

It is her passion to connect moments in the daily grind with the truths of scripture- and by doing so, unveil the truth that ministry is wherever God puts you. For nearly a decade she would say that God put her at the local ice cream shop waiting tables as a “Sodajerk.” There, Michelle learned to serve; she ministered, loved, and prayed with the customers who- like the woman at the well- came thirsty. When the owner accepted her invitation, she began a weekly non-denominational Bible Study that met in shop’s back room for 8 years.

Trading in her apron for a public school ID badge, God saw fit to integrate Michelle in the Middle School full time. Now as the School Interventionist/counselor she leans on God’s wisdom, truth, and grace when working with 5th-8th grade students struggling in the grind of life.  When not in the office,  Michelle can also be found cheering at the football field, swimming pool, or track meet; teaching women’s Sunday School; decorating a cake or digging in her garden.

Michelle is regularly invited to speak to women, families, and youth at Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp, Camp Lebanon, Northern Pines Methodist Camp, and Cathedral in the Pines at Itasca Park. In her spare time she unpacks the daily grind as it intersects with Faith and Word of God.   She appeals to all denominations and age groups with her high energy speaking style and practical applications of God’s word. Michelle believes that we are called to live out our faith in the daily choices of our lives.  When extra time permits she shares her thoughts on “Loving LIFE in the Grind” her blog that can be found at: http://sodajerk4jesus.blogspot.com/

Michelle holds a B.A. in Communications from Bethel College.  She is the Middle School Interventionist where she seeks to weave Truth and Grace into the very daily grind of Middle School lives.  She and her husband, Kent, reside in Park Rapids, MN. They have four children: Brock & his wife, Kelsey, who live near Washington DC; Kurt & his wife, Emily, who reside in Fargo ND; and Zach, a senior in High School, who never ceases to amaze us. Zach and Zoe, their crazy Australian shepherd dog, live with them at home.
